About Us

History
A visionary group of 8 physicians and dentists organized and built the first free-standing surgery center and performed the first cases in February 1977. Throughout the years, this multiple specialty facility has been a leader for innovative procedures and equipment. Over 140,000 cases have been performed at this facility. The Alaska Spine Center relocated to its current location in July 2001 and became part of Surgical Care Affiliates in June 2007. We perform Orthopedics, Podiatry, Pain Management, ENT, Ophthalmology, Neurosurgery, OB/Gyn, Urology, General, and Plastic Surgery.


Our management team is focused on providing the highest level of care and communication to our patient, physician specialists and their staff.

The Alaska Spine Center works with all governmental programs to include Medicare, Medicaid, Denali Kid Care, Tricare, Veteran’s Administration and Project Access. We are proud supporters of the Alaska Special Olympics, the YMCA, the Big C Relays, the Lost Lake Run for Cystic Fibrosis and other events.
